Having made peace through the blood of his cross . . . You, that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.
In Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity? Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace.—Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.— Lord , thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; for he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself. Ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, . . . but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, . . . manifest in these last times for you.
